Amid continued expansion and leadership shifts across insurance, AM Specialty Insurance Company and Brown & Riding have announced key executive appointments aimed at strengthening operational capabilities and strategic focus.
AM Specialty Insurance Company (ASIC) has appointed Stefanie Milch, Esq. (pictured above, left), as its new head of claims.
Milch brings more than 25 years of legal and leadership experience to the role and will be responsible for overseeing the company’s claims operations. Her mandate includes the development and implementation of claims strategies across a range of business lines.
Milch is a licensed attorney in New York and Connecticut and has held senior claims management roles at several major carriers and service providers. Her experience spans multiple lines of business, including commercial auto liability, general liability, real estate, construction defect, healthcare, executive and professional liability, and aviation.
She has led claims teams and developed operational frameworks that include guidelines, metrics, and best practices designed to enhance efficiency and financial performance.
The company said the appointment reflects its commitment to strengthening its claims capabilities as part of a broader client-focused risk management strategy.
AM Specialty’s last major appointment was in February, when it named Mary McKay as chief underwriting officer for its managing general agency, Pinpoint Insurance Solutions.
In a separate development in the commercial insurance sector, Brown & Riding has named George Sella (pictured above, right) as co-leader of its National Construction Practice.
Sella will partner with Chris Brown, the firm’s chairman and national casualty and construction practice leader, to lead the business unit.
Sella, who has more than 15 years of industry experience, became a principal at Brown & Riding in 2015. In his expanded leadership role, he will work to further align the construction group’s operations into a unified, multi-disciplinary practice serving clients across the US.
Brown said Sella’s appointment supports the firm's strategic direction and its investment in leadership with sector-specific expertise.
Earlier this month, the brokerage also expanded its transportation practice with the appointment of Courtney Murphree. Murphree will lead the division alongside Tim Pedersen Jr.
