A North Carolina insurance agent has been arrested on embezzlement charges – for the third time.
On Tuesday, North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey announced that 59-year-old David Maylon Pickett had been arrested on multiple counts relating to embezzlement. Pickett is accused of scamming seniors in order to obtain money, assets and property, according to a report by local news affiliate WNCT.
This certainly isn’t a new experience for Pickett - he’s been arrested twice before for embezzlement. In 2015, he was arrested for allegedly embezzling money from seven people across five different North Carolina counties.
