Hub International continued its acquisition blitz Thursday with the announcement that it had acquired certain assets of Saffe Property & Casualty. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Carey Birmingham, president of fleet sales at Saffe, will join Hub Transportation and report to CSO Dennis Templeton, Hub said. Birmingham is an expert on insurance products focused on the needs of commercial fleet trucking.
The acquisition is the latest in a string of purchases by Hub.
Earlier this week, the global brokerage announced the acquisition of The Benefits Company, an Ontario-based firm.
Last month, Hub acquired Leitao Insurance Agency and TYG insurance, two Massachusetts firms. The company also recently acquired Utah-based Spectra Management, an employee group benefits firm. In February, it acquired Canada-based Pointbreak Consulting, California-based Der Manouel Insurance & Financial Services and Texas-based IPS Advisors.
