Hub International Limited has continued its Canadian M&A spree with the acquisition of an Alberta-based brokerage.
Hub has acquired Berk Bilgen Insurance (BBI), the company has announced. An independent insurance brokerage based in Edmonton, Alberta, BBI offers personal and commercial insurance products, including home, auto, life and travel.
Over the last decade, BBI has grown considerably under the leadership of Berk and Heather Bilgen and become a market leader in the Edmonton area, Hub said. The Bilgens will be active in the transition of the business to the Hub team.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
