Hub International Limited has announced the acquisition of the assets of Insurance Management Associates (IMA). Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
IMA is a full-service commercial and personal insurance agency based in Annapolis, Md. Randall Bieber, president of IMA, will join Hub Mid-Atlantic. Beiber will report to Norman Breitenbach, president of Hub Mid-Atlantic.
The purchase of IMA marks Hub’s second US acquisition after a recent M&A spree in Canada. Last month, Hub acquired Liberty New Gate Insurance Services, a California-based commercial insurer specializing in the agriculture and horticulture sector.
Hub also recently acquired Frontier Business Centre in Saskatchewan and Clearwater Insurance Group, Access Insurance Brokers and Benefit Broker Services in Ontario.
