The leadership changes at specialist insurer Hiscox keep on coming. In the same month as a new CEO for Hiscox Re and ILS was revealed, the company has now announced the appointment of Yana O’Sullivan as its head of investor relations.
According to a press release, O’Sullivan is a senior investor relations and strategy leader that boasts more than 15 years’ experience in global financial services, including insurance, banking, investment management, as well as telecoms in the UK, EMEA, US, and Asia.
O’Sullivan began her investor relations career at Standard Chartered Bank during a tough time for the industry, coming into the role at the start of the global financial crisis. She later led the investor relations team at Friends Life Group, the FTSE 100 UK life insurer that is now part of Aviva, and then served as head of investor relations and strategy director at Lombard International Assurance.
“Yana brings significant experience in investor relations and the capital markets to Hiscox, having worked across a range of international markets, with extensive experience in financial services,” said Aki Hussain, Hiscox Group CFO. “Her diverse background and perspective will be a great asset to the management team, helping us to tell the Hiscox story and engage effectively with our shareholders and the financial markets globally.”
