On Feb. 26, independent insurance firm Higginbotham announced that it had hired Bernie Henyon as an associate of personal property/casualty insurance. Henyon joins the firm’s Fort Worth, Texas headquarters.
Henyon was previously an associate pastor for four years at HighRidge Church in Fort Worth. There, he administered 35 life groups and a $5 million capital campaign while counseling members of the congregation.
Prior to being a pastor, Henyon once owned an
Allstate Insurance Company-affiliated firm from 1988 to 2011, selling property/casualty and life products. For his company’s work he was given several distinctions, such as the National Quality Award,
Allstate Honor Ring and
Allstate National Champion award for exceptional sales and services.
“I just like talking to people, hearing their stories and doing whatever I can to help them be successful. Whether it’s insurance or ministry, I have the opportunity to learn about people and safeguard them,” commented Henyon on his career shift from pastor back to broker.
Henyon is a graduate of the Texas Christian University, and was a member of the university’s Frog Club, Letterman’s Association, and Clark Society. He is a Life Underwriting Training Council Fellow associated with the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors as well as the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Fort Worth Chapter.
