Texas-based brokerage Higginbotham has announced a partnership with Cassidy & Company, a Tampa, Fla.-based specialty life insurance planning firm.
Higginbotham noted that the move aims to enhance its specialty life insurance expertise and provide additional support to its partner offices in Florida, Tennessee, Mississippi, and other regions.
Higginbotham chairman and CEO Rusty Reid outlined the firm's strategy for growth in targeted regions, particularly the Southeast. With established partner offices in Memphis, Tenn., Tampa, and Brookhaven, Miss., Higginbotham is looking to further bolster its regional presence.
Reid referenced a previous expansion effort to the West, where Higginbotham partnered with Paradigm Gilbert, a specialty financial services firm in Los Angeles, to enhance life insurance planning services for clients.
Based on the success of that partnership, Reid turned to Paradigm Gilbert for a recommendation as Higginbotham sought to expand in the Southeast. Cassidy & Company emerged as the ideal candidate.

Cassidy emphasized the firm's experience in life insurance and financial planning for business owners and high-net-worth individuals, and expressed enthusiasm about joining Higginbotham to bring that expertise to the Southeast.
Cassidy said that the partnership with Higginbotham would allow Cassidy & Company to expand its market share and introduce new services within the life insurance space.
Earlier this month, Higginbotham also announced a partnership with Turner & Associates Insurance of Brunswick, Ga.
Turner & Associates is licensed in 42 states. The insurer also has accounts and specialty practices for nonprofits, construction, and hospitality.
“Turner has a great team that always puts service first and will go out of their way to help every customer,” said Reid.
