Heffernan Network Insurance Brokers, a subsidiary of Heffernan Insurance Brokers, has announced the acquisition of California-based Maffei Insurance & Financial Services.
Founded in 2005, Maffei Insurance & Financial Services is a family-owned agency headquartered in Stockton, Calif., with additional offices in Carmel, Fresno, and Visalia. While specializing in personal lines insurance, the company has also developed a growing portfolio of commercial lines business.
Joining forces with Heffernan Network will enable Maffei to expand its offerings and provide additional resources to its clients, particularly in the private client sector and various commercial industries, Heffernan said. Maffei will continue operating as a subsidiary agency of Heffernan Network.

Heffernan's acquisition of Maffei Insurance & Financial Services is part of its broader growth strategy. The company also recently acquired California-based Kettering Rose Insurance Services and Arizona-headquartered Osland Financial Group.
