Grange Insurance announces VP Nicole Carter's role expansion

Grange Insurance Company has announced that Nicole Carter will be taking on an expanded role as vice president, PL sales and strategic distribution of the insurer.

Grange Insurance Company chief distribution officer Jill Wagner Kelly said Carter had been leading the insurer’s strategic distribution roadmap for the past two and a half years.

“She has successfully matured our relationships with key agency network, broker, platform, and digital partners, helping cultivate our presence and growth within the marketplace at the national level. She has a deep understanding of our personal lines business as several of our national partners have substantial personal lines books, making her a great fit for this role,” said Kelly.

Who is Nicole Carter?

Having been with Grange Insurance Company since 2022, Carter has been developing and executing the company’s strategic distribution roadmap.

Prior to her time with the firm, Carter was the director for national accounts for Allstate at National General, where she led $3 million in premium for the independent agency (IA) channel national accounts division as well as the establishment of the alternative distribution vertical for the IA channel. She also held multiple roles in Liberty Mutual Insurance, including manager of agent/broker relations and AVP of marketing and sales manager. She has also been the sales manager at Safeco as well as loss control administrator and assistant branch manager at Enterprise Rent-A-Car.

Carter received her bachelor’s degree at East Carolina University and has served on various industry boards and committees such as InVEST, Best Practice, Diversity Council, Agents Council for Technology, and Women in Insurance Leadership. She is a former chair of the national PIA Partnership.
