The Plexus Groupe, a national commercial insurance brokerage and consulting firm, has appointed Gerald Fawcett (pictured above) as its new president.
Fawcett joined The Plexus Groupe in February 2020 to lead the industry and specialty practices division. In that role, he worked on evaluating technology solutions, forming partnerships to boost profitability, and integrating acquisitions.
He was promoted to senior vice president and national property and casualty practice leader in 2021, where he expanded the national property and casualty team and implemented client-focused insurance strategies.
In his new role as president, Fawcett will oversee the company’s property and casualty, small commercial, and private client practices. He will also focus on producer recruitment and help lead The Plexus Groupe’s strategic growth initiatives as a member of the executive team.

The company also announced the promotion of Jamie Lebar to senior vice president and property and casualty practice leader. In her new role, Lebar will succeed Gerald Fawcett and join the Plexus senior leadership team.
Lebar has been with The Plexus Groupe for 12 years, most recently serving as a senior client executive. She has extensive experience in developing and managing risk management and insurance programs and has led client service teams.
With over 20 years in the industry, Lebar’s expertise spans advanced manufacturing, real estate, hospitality, retail, and business services. She has also managed integrated global programs and complex property and liability solutions.
“Jamie’s commitment to our clients, her deep industry expertise, and her exceptional leadership have made her an invaluable part of our team,” Fawcett said. “I am confident that under her guidance, the property and casualty practice will thrive and continue to set new standards of excellence.”
In addition, the company announced that Matthew Stohner has joined as senior vice president of private client solutions. Stohner comes to The Plexus Groupe from Marsh McLennan Agency, bringing experience to bolster the firm's private client offerings.
