Global broker Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. has announced the acquisition of Florida-based Specialty Risk Management Services and its affiliate, Private Client Insurance Services. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Specialty Risk Management Services manages a property insurance program for businesses in Florida, while Private Client Insurance Services is an agency that specializes in commercial risks, condo associations and personal lines, Gallagher said in a news release.

As part of the deal, Elaine Hawkins, Wes Brewer and their team will remain in their current location in Fort Myers, Fla. They will report to Bumpy Triche, head of Gallagher’s Southeast retail P&C brokerage operations.

“Specialty Risk Management Services and Private Client Insurance Services have a culture similar to ours and will deepen our service offerings in a key market,” said J. Patrick Gallagher Jr., president, chairman and CEO of Gallagher. “I am delighted to welcome Elaine, Wes and their associates to Gallagher.”

In February, Gallagher announced the acquisition of The John Galt Agency, another Florida-headquartered firm. The same month, the global broker  appointment of Amanda Wynne as divisional director in its Middle East & Africa team to spearhead mergers and acquisitions efforts in the region.
