Broking giant Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. has announced the acquisition of Connecticut-based Ericson Insurance Services, LLC, which operates as Ericson Insurance Advisors.
Ericson Insurance Advisors specializes in personal lines insurance for high-net-worth clients across the US. The team, led by Spencer Houldin and Peter Houldin, will continue operating in their current Washington Depot location following Gallagher’s acquisition.
It will also bring the Ericson Insurance Advisors team under Brendan Gallagher, head of Gallagher’s Northeast region retail property/casualty brokerage operations.
In a news release announcing the swoop, chairman and CEO J. Patrick Gallagher, Jr. spoke of the company’s strategic vision for this addition.
“Ericson Insurance Advisors is a highly regarded agency that will expand the capabilities of our private client offerings,” he said. “I am very pleased to welcome Spencer, Peter and their associates to our growing Gallagher family of professionals.”
Earlier this week, Gallagher announced the acquisition of Horak Insurance in Iowa. Risk Placement Services, its US wholesale brokerage, binding authority and programs division, also recently acquired Forest Insurance Facilities in Louisiana.
Gallagher has a global footprint in approximately 130 countries, delivering services through owned operations and a network of correspondent brokers and consultants.
