Gallagher has acquired Fontenelle & Goodreau Insurance in Louisiana.
Under the deal, financial terms of which were not disclosed, founding member Charlie Fontenelle (pictured) and his team will continue operating from the company’s base in Metairie. They will be overseen by Bumpy Triche, head of the Southeast retail property/casualty brokerage operations at Gallagher.

Set up in 2006, Fontenelle & Goodreau Insurance specializes in commercial property/casualty coverages with a focus on large apartment accounts in the Louisiana market.
The acquisition comes on the heels of Gallagher snapping up Specialty Risk Management Services and Private Client Insurance Services in Florida.
At the time, J. Patrick Gallagher, Jr. said: “Specialty Risk Management Services and Private Client Insurance Services have a culture similar to ours and will deepen our service offerings in a key market.”
