Eric Coleman (pictured) has joined Farmers Insurance as president of business insurance, bringing more than two decades of industry experience to the post.
Farmers Insurance chief executive Raul Vargas noted: “Eric is a seasoned leader with a proven track record of adding to an organization’s bottom line and helping to reshape go-to-market strategies.
“He has deep expertise and will be an asset to the team as we seek to strengthen and capitalize on business insurance opportunities.”
A Travelers and Nationwide veteran, Coleman most recently served as small business insurance senior vice president. At Farmers Insurance, Coleman’s remit will span commercial underwriting, product, strategy, finance, and new market activity for the business insurance team.
The appointment, which took effect on April 10, comes on the heels of John Griek’s arrival to serve as chief financial officer of Farmers Group.
Earlier this month, Vargas said: “John has extensive knowledge in the finance discipline, a deep understanding of the insurance industry and market dynamics, as well as a demonstrated history of leading multi-year operational strategies.
“I am pleased to welcome John to the Farmers team and look forward to working together as we continue to execute on our strategic plans for achieving long-term, profitable growth for the Farmers enterprise.”
