Everest Insurance has announced leadership changes within its US casualty business.

Nina Corbo (pictured above, left) has been appointed as head of US primary casualty, while Debbie Weiser (pictured above, right) will take on the role of head of US excess casualty.

In her new role, Corbo will manage the risk management and commercial casualty segments. She brings nearly 20 years of industry experience, most recently serving as head of risk management for Everest’s North America Insurance team.

Before joining Everest, Corbo held roles in casualty and risk management with AIG, AXA XL, and ACE, including her position as head of corporate accounts, primary casualty at AIG.

Weiser, now head of US excess casualty, will oversee the national accounts and middle market excess casualty segments. Joining Everest in 2017, she previously served as head of excess casualty for North America Insurance.

Before her tenure at Everest, Weiser directed AIG’s excess portfolio for the middle market and held positions in casualty underwriting and claims with Travelers and Chubb.

Both will report to Bill Hazelton, executive vice president of Everest Insurance and president of North America Insurance.

“These strategic appointments strengthen our leadership team and deepen our broker and client relationships,” Hazelton said, adding that he looks forward to working with Corbo and Weiser to advance partnerships and maintain the high service standards expected by brokers and clients.

Earlier this month, Everest Reinsurance, the group’s reinsurance division, announced that Emily Davis has been appointed head of its global specialties business, including aviation, marine, cyber, engineering, and parametric solutions.

Davis recently served as the division's vice president and global head of engineering. Prior to joining the company, she held global actuarial and underwriting roles of increasing responsibility at Transatlantic Reinsurance Company. Davis started her career as an actuarial analyst at AON and is a fellow of the Institute of Actuaries.
