Law firms based in Europe and North America have jointly launched a new legal network that specializes in insurance law.
Called Insurance Law Global (ILG), the network is composed of founding law firms from the UK (Weightmans), Spain (LC Rodrigo Abogados), Canada (Blaney McMurtry), and the USA (Marshall Dennehey Warner Coleman & Goggin).
A release noted that the firms will collaborate on a non-exclusive basis to help clients with whatever challenges they face brought about by globalization and the ever-changing political and environmental landscape.
The ILG, collectively, has locations in 30 cities across six countries.
The network was launched at a conference in London last week. During the event, ILG discussed the emerging issues currently affecting global insurance claims.
“The legal services market - and the way in which our clients need us to work - is changing,” said Weightmans senior partner Dan Cutts.
“By bringing together law firms with exceptional pedigree and experience in the global insurance market, we are formalising a collaborative approach to respond to the challenge. Our partnerships will ensure we can continue to deliver legal support to our insurer clients in an increasingly globalized environment.”
