The Dive In Festival, a premier international event that advocates for diversity and inclusion within the insurance industry, is now accepting registrations for its 2024 edition. Scheduled for 24-26 September, this year’s festival is set to host over 130 hybrid events in an unprecedented 48 countries, enabling global participation in real-time discussions.

This edition will see a line-up of notable speakers including Laura Kenny, a five-time Olympic champion. Other speakers include Jelena Dokic, a former tennis professional and advocate for resilience; Xavier Ramey, CEO of Justice Informed; and Tracey Gendron, who speaks internationally on age bias. With the festival’s growing reach, more professionals than ever are expected to join from regions including the Americas, South Africa, and Singapore.

The theme for 2024, "A Sustainable Future: The Next 10 Years," aims to foster inclusive environments that spark innovation and tackle global challenges, with a special focus on the insurance sector. Dive In will also offer events accredited for Continuing Professional Development (CPD) by the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII), helping attendees count these activities towards their annual CPD or Continuing Education (CE) requirements.

This year’s agenda will delve into crucial diversity and inclusion topics like neurodiversity, ageism, gender equality, the effects of AI, sustainability, and mental health resilience at work. A significant emphasis will also be placed on social mobility, with discussions led by countries such as Mexico, the USA, and New Zealand.

New this year, the festival introduces the ‘Nominate My Manager’ campaign, which will recognise managers who significantly contribute to diversity and inclusion in their workplaces across four categories: advocacy and leadership, commitment to diversity and inclusion, communication and engagement, and innovation and collaboration.

Additionally, the ‘CEO Talking Heads’ campaign has been launched to highlight the pivotal role of diversity and inclusion in addressing major challenges like cybersecurity, global health, AI, and climate change.

Mikir Shah, CEO of Africa Specialty Risks, shared his enthusiasm about joining the festival as a global partner, noting the commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion in the African business landscape. Angela Flaherty of Clyde & Co also expressed her firm's commitment to fostering a diverse and inclusive culture as essential to their success.

This year, 32 global companies have confirmed their partnership with Dive In, underscoring the wide-reaching support for the festival’s objectives.
