Distinguished Programs has announced the appointments of Greg Somers (pictured above) and Kirkland Requejo (pictured below) as regional sales executives. Somers will serve in the Mid-Atlantic Region, while Requejo will have responsibility for Illinois and Wisconsin.
Somers has more than 20 years of leadership experience. Prior to joining Distinguished Programs in 2014, he was an officer in the US Coast Guard, working as a military program manager and later as a commanding officer in Guam.
“Greg’s diverse work background and driven leadership skills produce meaningful fruits, making him an asset to the regional sales team,” said Kurt Meister, senior vice president of business development at Distinguished Programs. “He strives to provide clients with the proper attention and assistance to ensure they are satisfied with their products. He will make significant contributions to the team as he assumes his new responsibilities.”
Somers will be based in Philadelphia.
Requejo brings 12 years of military leadership and a proven record in sales to his role. A US Army veteran, he was awarded a Bronze Star for leadership for his service in Afghanistan. Prior to joining Distinguished Programs, Requejo served as a pharmaceutical sales specialist for Novo Nordisk.
“Kirkland has done an outstanding job for Distinguished Programs in his prior sales role,” Meister said. “His leadership in the military, coupled with his previous sales experience as a pharmaceutical representative, gives him a distinct advantage in the world of insurance sales. This adds unique value to our team and our broker partners.
Requejo will be based in Chicago.
