International law firm DAC Beachcroft (DACB) will enter the US market on Jan. 1 with the launch of new offices in New York City and Los Angeles.
The firm’s expansion includes a team of 30 professionals, comprising four partners and 26 lawyers and staff, joining from two US law firms.
The US launch marks DAC Beachcroft’s continued global expansion, following the firm’s openings in Hong Kong in September and Peru in May 2024. DAC Beachcroft says that this reflects growing demand for the firm’s insurance expertise and its broader international offerings.
Partners Lawrence Klein and Gilbert Lee will join DAC Beachcroft from Robinson+Cole. Both specialize in complex insurance coverage matters, advising global and US insurers on disputes in state and federal courts, as well as arbitration panels across the US, UK, and Bermuda.
Their practices include complex risk transfer programs, construction projects, environmental catastrophes, sexual abuse claims, product defects and recalls, terrorism, and healthcare-related matters.
George Vogrin and Mike Frimet, partners from Vogrin & Frimet LLP, will also join DAC Beachcroft. Their practice focuses on coverage and reinsurance issues, with expertise in general liability, entertainment, contingency, film, non-appearance, accident and health, property, professional indemnity, regulatory concerns, and both commercial and personal lines.
Vogrin and Frimet have extensive experience advising global insurers and the London Insurance Market on admitted and excess and surplus lines products.

The US offices represent DAC Beachcroft’s third and fourth international openings within nine months, enhancing its global insurance practice and providing expanded capabilities to its clients.
David Pollitt, managing partner at DAC Beachcroft, said the firm’s US entry aligns with its strategic international growth plan.
“Being able to establish operations in the thriving US legal market not only satisfies a key client demand within our insurance practice, but also gives potential for our clients across other areas of our business to benefit from our presence in the US market,” Pollitt said.
DAC Beachcroft operates one of the largest insurance practices in the UK, with offices in 11 UK locations and an international presence in Ireland, Spain, France, Italy, Singapore, Hong Kong, Mexico, Colombia, Chile, Argentina, Peru, and Germany through its partnership with BLD. The firm also maintains a representative office in Miami.
