Insurtech company Corvus Insurance has announced the opening of an office in Atlanta, its fifth location. Corvus has also announced the appointment of Joel Fehrman as vice president of cyber underwriting. Fehrman will be based in the new Atlanta office.
Fehrman brings more than a decade of experience to the role, and has focused on underwriting cyber insurance and technology E&O insurance for the past nine years. Prior to joining Corvus, he worked at Beazley. Fehrman has also held roles at XL Group and CNA Financial. At Corvus, he will focus on underwriting the company’s smart cyber insurance product for clients across the Southeast.
“Corvus understands and utilizes the advantages that technology can bring to brokers, insureds, and underwriters, and I’m excited to join at a time when technology is converging with a traditionally slow-to-change business model,” Fehrman said.
“We are thrilled to have someone as expert in cyber underwriting as Joel Fehrman on board,” said Phil Edmundson, founder and CEO of Corvus Insurance. “And with the Atlanta office, Corvus will be able to meet the growing demand for our smart commercial insurance policies in the Atlanta area, Florida and other key Southeast markets.”
The announcement of the opening of the Atlanta office comes one month after the company established an office in Dallas and three months after it launched a Los Angeles office.
