Combined Insurance, a
Chubb company providing individual supplemental accident, disability, health and life insurance, has been named as one of the country’s most veteran-friendly companies, according to a news release.
U.S. Veterans Magazine has named Combined insurance to its 2016 “Best of the Best” list of veteran-friendly employers. 2016 marks the third consecutive year Combined Insurance has made the list.
USVM compiled its “Best of the Best” lists after polling hundreds of Fortune 1000 companies. The lists recognize veteran-friendly companies, top supplier diversity programs, top government and law enforcement agencies, and top veteran-friendly schools.
“It is a terrific honor for Combined Insurance to be included on
U.S. Veterans Magazine's Best of the Best list of veteran-friendly employers for three straight years,” said Joseph Pennington, National Military Program Manager at Combined Insurance. “We value the traits veterans bring to Combined Insurance—their dedication, loyalty, discipline, and work ethic. In turn, we aim to provide veterans a meaningful career opportunity and an opportunity for them to continue to serve by helping people when they need it most.”
Combined Insurance launched a military veteran recruiting program in 2010. Since then, the company has hired more than 3,800 veterans and people with military backgrounds. Combined Insurance aims to hire 1,500 more by the end of 2017.
The company has also been recognized by
G.I. Jobs Magazine as the number-one military-friendly employer in the U.S. in both 2015 and 2016.
Military Spouse Magazine named the company the number one military spouse-friendly employer in 2016, and
Hispanic Network Magazine named it a top diversity employer for the past two years.
