CNA announced this week that it has appointed Dieter Korte as Vice President, Underwriting for the Manufacturing Segment of the company, effective immediately.

As vice president of the Manufacturing Segment’s underwriting, Korte will be responsible for overseeing the segment in “implementing its strategic and operational objectives.” Korte will report to Commercial Segments Senior Vice President John Tatum.

"Dieter's extensive knowledge and understanding of the insurance industry, combined with his proven track record of performance and strong leadership experience, make him well suited to lead Manufacturing at CNA," remarked Tatum.

Previously, Korte was with Chubb, where he served a range of roles and responsibilities for 25 years. Such responsibilities include managing worldwide product lines, creating strategies for segments and lines of business, and leading large teams of field underwriters within branches, zones and larger territories.

Korte is a graduate of Western Michigan University with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. He earned his MBA from Wayne State University.
