San Diego-based C3 Risk & Insurance Services has elevated Doug Shea and Chris Morse to partner status, acknowledging their significant contributions and leadership within the company.
Shea, who leads the construction practice, and Morse, a producer with a focus on construction, recycling, waste management, and transportation, have both secured ownership stakes in the firm as part of their promotions.
Shea joined the C3 team in 2021, after previous roles at Barney & Barney and Marsh McLennan. At C3, he specializes in providing risk management and brokerage services to a diverse range of clients within the construction industry.
Morse became part of C3 in 2022 and quickly made his mark through his dedication to building strong client relationships and identifying new business opportunities, according to a Press release.
Both Shea and Morse attributed their achievements to the family-oriented culture at C3. Shea remarked on the firm’s emphasis on professional and personal growth, while Morse pointed to the work-life balance and leadership support as crucial to his success at C3.
Jamie Reid, chairman of the board at C3, praised the equity program as a cornerstone of the firm’s ethos, highlighting the promotions of Shea and Morse as indicative of the company’s success and culture.
“Our success is driven by the passion and expertise of our team, and we are confident they will continue to play instrumental roles in our growth,” Reid said.
Under the guidance of Reid and co-founder Gabe Erle, C3 has grown to nearly 116 employees, with a collective experience of 500 years across all insurance domains. Licensed across all 50 states, C3 now serves over 5,000 clients both in the US and internationally.
