Independent specialist reinsurance broker BMS Group has announced the appointment of Conrad Lagasca as branch manager for its San Francisco office. Lagasca will report to Jonah Pfeffer, chief casualty officer for BMS Group’s US reinsurance arm.
In his new role, Lagasca will support and manage BMS’s specialty programs throughout the company’s West Coast operation. He has more than 20 years of management and broking experience, and specializes in property and casualty, workers’ compensation and professional liability lines.
Prior to joining BMS Group, Lagasca served as senior vice president at Willis Towers Watson, which he rejoined in 2019. Lagasca’s first stint at Willis Towers Watson was between 2001 and 2011, after which he served as a senior vice president at JLT/Guy Carpenter from 2011 to 2019. He began his reinsurance career at E.W. Blanch Company (now Aon).
“Regional property and casualty reinsurance is one of the focal points of our US operation,” Pfeffer said. “Attracting talent like Conrad is key to BMS’s continued success in the segment of the market. Conrad’s unparalleled technical skills and client-oriented approach complement our established strategic plan, and we look forward to working closely in servicing our clients and strengthening our market presence.”
