Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance (BHSI) has announced that it has promoted Jill Salmon to head of professional lines for the US. In her new role, Salmon will oversee BHSI’s lawyers, architects and engineers, miscellaneous E&O and cyber liability insurance portfolios.
“Jill has played a pivotal leadership role in developing our professional lines business,” said Dave Bresnahan, executive vice president of BHSI. “She has exceptional technical knowledge of professional lines underwriting and claims issues, and we are pleased to elevate her to this new position where she will have an even greater impact on our customers, our brokers, and our organization.”
Salmon has 25 years of experience in the insurance industry, primarily focused on professional lines. She joined BHSI in 2014 as vice president and head of cyber, technology and miscellaneous E&O. She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in finance from St. John’s University and a law degree from Brooklyn Law School.
Salmon is based in BHSI’s New York’s office.
