Adam Brinkley (pictured) has been appointed vice president and chief claims officer at Berkley Financial Specialists, succeeding Megan Manogue, who retired after a nearly decade-long term.
Brinkley joined Berkley Financial Specialists almost four years ago as senior claims counsel and was later promoted to director claims counsel. His new role will have him overseeing the management of claims related to management liability, financial institution bonds, and commercial crime policies. He will also lead the operational aspects of the claims department, focusing on serving customers, agents, and brokers.
Before joining the company, Brinkley practiced law at a national firm, specializing in fidelity and surety law. He holds a juris doctor, magna cum laude, from SMU Dedman School of Law, where he was a member of the Order of the Coif, and a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Stephen F. Austin State University.
Mike Connor, president of Berkley Financial Specialists, spoke of Brinkley’s expertise in a press release, highlighting his “ability to handle the many challenging and complex aspects of claims.”

In addition to his work at Berkley Financial Specialists, Brinkley holds leadership positions with the Fidelity Law Association and the American Bar Association’s fidelity and surety law committee.
Berkley Financial Specialists is a member company of WR Berkley Corporation. It provides tailored insurance solutions for financial institutions, including crime-related insurance products through its Berkley Crime division.
Last month, a WR Berkley subsidiary shared plans to open a new branch office in India after receiving approval from the International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA).
Berkley Insurance Company’s new branch will be located in GIFT City, Gujarat, with Unnati Bajpai serving as its chief executive officer and principal officer.
