AssuredPartners has announced that it has acquired Peoples Insurance Agency (PIA). The Iowa-based insurance advisor has been family-owned and operated since its founding in 1982. PIA’s staff of 88 will continue operations under the direction of market president Josh Whitinger.

PIA is just the latest acquisition for Assured Partners. Last week, the company announced the acquisition of Wisconsin-based National Insurance Services. In October, the company acquired Hope Aviation Insurance, a South Carolina-based aviation insurance specialist.
