Four executives are joining the Apollo Syndicate 1969 family in a move designed to further boost the business’s casualty offering.
Appointed as head of casualty is Colm Lyons, who was chief executive and chief underwriting officer at Fidelis Insurance in Dublin. The former XL Catlin chief excess casualty officer will lead both the international and US casualty teams of Syndicate 1969.
Meanwhile Lee Ackerman and James Perrott have been recruited to serve as senior US casualty underwriters. Ackerman spent over 16 years as assistant vice president and senior underwriter at Liberty Mutual Insurance, while Perrott brings experience from the likes of Liberty Specialty Markets and Swiss Re.
Also coming onboard is US casualty underwriter Tom Graham, whose career began in 2012 at Aon. He and Perrott are making the switch upon completion of their contractual requirements; Lyons and Ackerman are assuming their posts with immediate effect.
