A group led by former New York Yankees captain and American Family Insurance brand ambassador Derek Jeter and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush has agreed to purchase the Miami Marlins baseball team for $1.3 billion, according to a Bloomberg report.

Citing a source familiar with the deal, Bloomberg reported that Jeter’s and Bush’s group won the auction for the ball team. Wayne Katz, the attorney representing the team, declined to comment, according to Bloomberg.

Jeter became a brand ambassador for American Family in May of 2016, according to Ad Age. He joined other brand ambassadors including Golden State Warriors player Kevin Durant, NFL player JJ Watt and singer/songwriter John Legend.

Jeter, Bush and their partners have gotten a team that plays in a relatively new ballpark, but has played to sparse crowds this year and has been losing money, according to Bloomberg. The team is currently seeking a naming-rights partner for its stadium, and is trying to rework its local television contract. The Marlins’ current deal with Fox, which expires after the 2020 season, nets it about $20 million per year – the lowest in major-league baseball.
