Allianz aims to address with the expansion of its North American crisis management team.
Three experts from various fields and geographies have been appointed to pivotal positions in the Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty organization to facilitate the delivery of crisis management services to address such risks as catastrophes, government instability, and product recalls.
According to a company statement, New York engineer Alex Pittignano will function as executive underwriter. Also based in New York, mechanical engineer Randy Esposito was named underwriting specialist. Chicago public relations expert Jillian Shelby has been appointed as underwriting specialist, as well.
The three specialists will report to Marcos Garcia Norris, regional practice leader for crisis management, North America.

“As the underwriting exposures and needs of our clients change constantly, a strong local knowledge base and service structure must be in place. Our new colleagues have an exemplary track record and have established themselves as respected and clear experts in this unique field,” Norris said in the statement.
“With our focused talent in place, we can further cement our position…in the crisis management insurance market, delivering a high quality of service for the benefit of both our clients and brokers,” Allianz head of global crisis management Christof Bentele also noted.
