Alliant Insurance Services, headquartered in California, has recently appointed four industry professionals to key roles within its organization.
Richard Roderick has taken up the position of executive vice president, managing director, Alliant Specialty. Roderick, a veteran of 27 years in the Los Angeles insurance community, brings a client-centric focus on private equity (PE) sponsors and extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions (M&A).
Recognized for his leadership and deal-facilitating solutions for both strategic and financial buyers, Roderick's expertise spans the middle market and Fortune 1000 companies. He offers tailored solutions in property and casualty, management liability, transactional liability, and health benefits.
Scott Canales, taking on the role of executive vice president, Alliant Specialty, is also based in Los Angeles and brings an extensive 38-year tenure in the construction industry, with 31 years dedicated specifically to construction insurance brokerage, focusing on construction and development, transportation, and logistics.
Canales emphasizes driving client success through strategic engagement and introducing innovative solutions to optimize coverage structures at the most competitive pricing. His commitment extends to fostering dialogues with clients to understand their needs and navigate complex challenges.
Prior to his career as a construction insurance broker, Canales spent eight years as a chief financial officer and controller at a construction engineering firm. He holds an MBA in finance from the University of Redlands and a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of San Diego.
Finally, there is Mark Racunas, the newest addition as senior vice president, Alliant Specialty. Racunas is also based in Los Angeles, bringing over 20 years of experience in the insurance brokerage industry.
Racunas specializes in providing insurance brokerage services across diverse industries, including manufacturing, real estate, online retail, logistics, and fueling. His expertise spans property and casualty insurance, employment practices liability, commercial insurance, casualty insurance, and reinsurance. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Kansas.
Elsewhere for the specialty broker, Alliant also announced the appointment of Greg Barnes as executive vice president and managing director for Alliant Specialty.
