US insurance brokerage, ALKEME has acquired Relion Insurance Solutions, a major player in Iowa’s insurance market.
Relion has over 140 years of history serving businesses, families, and individuals across Iowa and surrounding areas.
The acquisition marks ALKEME’s continued expansion into the Midwest. Relion, which was formed in 2020 through the merger of two independent agencies, has a broad presence across seven cities in Iowa. It is known for its strong community ties and its recognition as an Iowa Top Workplace for four consecutive years, from 2021 to 2024.
Curtis Barton, CEO of ALKEME, emphasized the strategic value of the acquisition, noting that it strengthens the company’s presence in the Midwest.

Relion will now have access to ALKEME’s resources and expertise, which is expected to enhance its offerings and ability to serve clients while maintaining its existing relationships.

Relion is one of ALKEME's recent acquisitions, which include Jacobson Professional Insurance, Pinnacle Insurance Consultants, Sarrica Insurance, and North Point Insurance Agency.
Founded in 2020, ALKEME has acquired more than 50 agencies since its inception and operates from over 40 locations in 22 states. The company provides a wide range of services, including commercial and personal insurance, employee and executive benefits, and wealth management.
