Alera Group has announced the acquisition of healthcare consulting firm Vital Incite. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

“Data is the driving force behind Vital Incite,” said Mary Delaney, president of Vital Incite. “Our analytics tools turn healthcare data into actionable intelligence so that employers can make informed decisions about the health and wellness programs they offer to employees. We are focused on the big picture, helping employers manage their healthcare spending and helping employees improve their overall health.”

Founded in 2013, Indianapolis-headquartered Vital Incite helps identify wasteful medical spending, allowing employers to reinvest in the correct resources to improve employee health.

“Vital Incite, through its data aggregation and analytics of healthcare information, identifies opportunities for employers to make sustainable change,” said Alan Levitz, CEO of Alera Group. “Their expertise helps generate actionable items that lead to improvements, efficiencies and increased profitability for their clients. Vital Incite enhances our capabilities in data analysis and healthcare consulting. We look forward to scaling their solutions across our offices nationwide.”

Vital Incite will continue to serve clients in existing roles, Alera said.
