Alera Group has completed the integration of Risk Consulting Partners (RCP), with the firm now operating solely under the Alera Group name.
The move marks the conclusion of a transition that began with Alera Group’s acquisition of RCP in 2021.
The rebranding is intended to consolidate Alera Group’s services and expand its support for private equity clients. Since acquiring RCP, Alera Group said it has aimed to broaden its offerings across property and casualty, employee benefits, financial services, and specialty practice areas.
Following the integration, former RCP clients will receive communications under the Alera Group name, though they will continue working with their existing service teams.
In 2023, Sara Carroll and Ken Rhoads joined Alera Group as private equity diligence team leads. Their roles focus on developing processes and client solutions that utilize the combined capabilities of the integrated organization.
The rebrand completes the alignment between the teams and is expected to improve access to Alera Group’s resources and subject-matter experts.
Nick Koenemann (pictured above), managing partner at Alera Group, said private equity firms often face complex risks across their portfolio companies and that addressing these issues requires coordinated input from specialists in various areas, including directors’ and officers’ liability and coverage assessments.
Alera Group, founded in 2017 and headquartered in Deerfield, Ill., is a national insurance and financial services firm offering employee benefits, property and casualty insurance, retirement plan services, and wealth management solutions.
By 2024, the company had expanded to over 4,400 employees across the US and reported gross revenue of approximately $1.4 billion.
In February, Alera Group also expanded its wealth management and retirement plan solutions, driven by new leadership. The expansion is led by Rob Lieblein, chief development officer and one of Alera’s original founding partners, who is responsible for guiding the strategic direction of the financial services division.
