Alera Group has acquired Georgetown Insurance Service, an independent insurance agency in Silver Spring, MD.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Georgetown Insurance has been serving clients in and around the state of Maryland for decades, a release said. The agency has worked closely with clients from the construction, manufacturing, real estate and transportation industries, providing “specialty offerings and enhanced services.”

Following the transaction, the Georgetown Insurance team will continue serving clients in their current roles.
