Alera Group has today announced two key executive appointments with Kyle Samuel named as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Gary Piantedosi appointed as President.
In March 2024, Samuel joined Alera Group as executive vice president of national operations, bringing with him over 30 years of insurance and risk management experience.
In his new role as COO, he will oversee day-to-day operations within Alera Group nationwide, working closely with regional leaders for better operational efficiency, strengthening client relationships and driving sustainable growth.
"Kyle has been an integral part of Alera Group since the day he joined," said CEO Jim Blue. “As COO, Kyle's leadership will be key as we continue to optimize our operations and position Alera Group for long-term success."
Meanwhile, Piantedosi will report to the firm's regional managing directors and national practice leaders, assuming the role of president after serving as Alera Group's managing director for the Northeast region since 2022.
He has more than 35 years of industry experience and was a founder and principal of CBP, one of the original firms that joined to form Alera Group in 2017.
"Gary has a proven track record of not only achieving growth but building teams that deliver exceptional client outcomes," said Blue. "His ability to create and implement strategic plans has been instrumental in our Northeast region's success."
Alera Group, with $1.4 billion in gross revenue, offers property and casualty insurance, employee benefits, wealth services and retirement plan solutions nationwide employing over 4,400.
