The new directory will allow agency owners who are seeking new carrier appointments to more easily research prospects. The financial ratings will be updated every three months for every carrier in the directory, according to AgencyEquity. A.M. Best – the oldest and most recognized provider of insurance carrier ratings – gives carriers letter grades that indicate their ability to pay claims.
The new directory lists more than 1,000 carrier groups, along with the individual carriers that belong to the group. Users can search for carriers by carrier type, states in which they do business, and types of coverage. In addition to A.M. Best ratings, the directory will also list carrier details and links to information including:
- Carrier home pages
- Directories of carriers’ current appointed agents
- Agency appointment information
- States in which the carrier does business
- Carrier size
The directory is available free of charge to AgencyEquity.com customers.
