Acrisure Re has announced the launch of a Florida operation with the appointment of Craig Darling as executive vice president and office head. Darling is based in Melbourne, Fla., and will report to Simon Hedley, CEO of Acrisure Re.
In his new role, Darling will manage property and casualty lines of business in Florida and other areas of the south-eastern US. He will also join Acrisure Re’s North American executive team.
Prior to joining Acrisure Re, Darling served as a managing director at Guy Carpenter. He joined the company in 2006, when it was JLT Re, and held multiple executive roles, including serving as executive chairman of JLT Re Ventures and CEO of JLT Re North America. He also previously worked as managing director of Willis Re’s North America division.
