Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. has announced its swoop for OperationsInc, LLC, based in Norwalk, Connecticut.
OperationsInc specializes in delivering a wide range of consulting services in human resources, payroll and HR information systems, talent acquisition, and employee training to various clients nationwide.
Following the acquisition, David Lewis (pictured) and his team will continue operating from their current location, reporting to Steve Coco, the managing director of global human resources and compensation consulting for Gallagher’s employee benefits consulting and brokerage division.
“OperationsInc’s growth-oriented culture and deep capabilities in HR consulting will significantly broaden our client offerings,” said J. Patrick Gallagher, Jr., chairman and chief executive at Gallagher.
“I am delighted to welcome David and his associates to our growing Gallagher family of professionals."
The deal, the financial terms of which were not disclosed, follows the arrival of Acumen Advisors.
An employee benefits company in Cedar Rapids, Acumen was snapped up by Gallagher in May, adding about 40 colleagues and over 150 partner advisors to the group.
The Acumen line-up falls under the supervision of Tom Lannen, who oversees Gallagher’s employee benefits consulting operations in the Midwest.
The Gallagher chief, referring to co-founders Andrew Morf and Kirby Moss, said at the time: “Acumen is a highly regarded firm that will expand our employee benefits offerings in the region. I am delighted to welcome Andrew, Kirby, and their associates to Gallagher.”
