Paul Crowley (pictured above) has been appointed as vice president and sales leader for employee benefits at Holmes Murphy. Crowley will be based in the company's Minneapolis office.
In his new role, Crowley will be tasked with driving growth in the Minneapolis office and leading the team of employee benefits producers.
He will also collaborate closely with other brokerage services leaders to develop and execute a comprehensive market and talent strategy for the office.
Crowley brings over 20 years of experience in the health benefits sector to Holmes Murphy. He previously worked at Medica, a health plan with 1.5 million members, where he led the design, development, and product strategy, contributing to growth across various business segments and markets. Crowley also managed Medica's commercial employer segment.
His career also includes sales and consulting roles at Cigna in Chicago and at Willis Towers Watson (formerly Towers Perrin) and Aon Hewitt in Boston.
Crowley is also active in his community, particularly in youth sports, where he volunteers as a coach and board member for a local basketball association. He and his wife have three daughters.
Brooks Deibele, senior vice president of employee benefits at Holmes Murphy, said that Crowley's diverse industry experience will be valuable to the company, its clients, and the communities it serves.
Deibele expressed confidence that Crowley's reputation, market knowledge, and connections will support the company's efforts to expand its employee benefits offerings in Minneapolis.
In May, Holmes Murphy also announced the launch of its new managing general agent (MGA), Innovative Program Solutions (IPS).
The new company is designed to create specialized insurance programs to reduce costs and loss ratios for businesses in various industries through customized solutions and a team of industry veterans.
