Independent insurance, financial, and HR services firm Higginbotham has announced its partnership with family-operated employee benefits and human resources support agency Adams Benefit.

Based in Boca Raton, Fla., Adams Benefit will be vital in Higginbotham’s expansion into South Florida, according to Rusty Reid, Higginbotham’s chairman and CEO.

“We have a presence in Central Florida, but we've been looking to expand into South Florida for some time. It was important to make the move with the right partnership in place. With Adams Benefit of Boca Raton, we're confident that we're joining forces with a dedicated local team that shares our approach to client service and community,” said Reid.

Adams Benefit Founder and CEO David Adams II said that Higginbotham was the best choice for the firm as they shared the same values.

“Like us, they treat their carrier partners as friends, and their clients and teammates as family. We also share their dedication to community service and appreciate that they're employee owned. Frankly, there was nothing but upside here,” he said.

Blair Adams III, Adams Benefit’s president, commended Higginbotham’s professionalism throughout the transitional process.

“They've been right there whenever we need them. With Higginbotham, we know that our team and our clients are already a shared priority,” Blair said.

Adams Benefit Vice President of Employee Benefits Meaghan Haines said that as Adams Benefit was an agency focusing on benefits, Higginbotham’s focus on property and casualty in commercial and personal insurance was something she was looking forward to taking part in.

“As a part of Higginbotham, we'll be able to offer one-stop-shop service with a full range of tools and resources for managing risk and human resources. That's a really important advantage for my team and our clients,” said Haines.

Adams Benefit provides employee benefits expertise and assists in HR consulting, payroll, legal and regulatory compliance, actuarial services and certification, wellness program design, claims reporting and analysis, predictive modelling, vendor management, and RFP design.

Higginbotham is an employee-owned firm providing services in insurance, financial, and HR/employee benefits as an independent insurance brokerage serving businesses and individuals.
