Trucker Path, a mobile app for North American truck drivers, announced two executive appointments to lead its insurance solutions initiative for its community of over 1 million drivers.
Aaron Ealy (pictured above, left) has joined Trucker Path as general manager of the insurance team, and Adam Smith (pictured above, right) as vice president of product.
Ealy, now heading the insurance team, comes from LuckyTruck, a digital insurance agency for the transportation industry, where he was an early executive hire. As vice president and head of strategy and partnerships at LuckyTruck, Ealy directed business development, go-to-market efforts, and managed partnerships with brokers, managing general agents, and insurance carriers.
His background also includes roles at SiriusPoint, where he was part of the Corporate Development & Strategy team investing in insurtech startups, and at Zurich Insurance, where he worked on North American corporate strategy.
Smith, appointed vice president of product for Trucker Path’s insurance team, also joins from LuckyTruck, where he developed the company’s technology platforms and led product strategy, overseeing product, data, design, and engineering departments. Under his direction, LuckyTruck launched a fully digital suite of truck insurance products.
Smith previously worked at Embroker, contributing to digital insurance product creation and management within its Product and Special Projects teams.
Trucker Path CEO Joe Chen said the company is pleased to bring in Ealy and Smith, whose experience will drive the development of new insurance solutions.
“We are fortunate to have the experience and innovative drive of Aaron Early and Adam Smith to help build essential insurance solutions for the transportation industry,” Chen said. “We welcome them and look forward to their success at Trucker Path and the benefits they will bring to our community of app users.”
