Kris L. Hill is President of QBE North America's Alternative Markets business, the largest of the four business groups in the U.S.

Alternative Markets (AM) includes QBE's Program business (one of the three largest in the nation) providing delegated underwriting authority to our trusted partners,  the Affiliated Personal Lines Business providing home and renters support through partnerships, and its wholly owned Westwood Insurance Agency subsidiary (one of the top 10 independent agencies in the U.S.) providing multi-line insurance to our customers.

A more than 25-year veteran to the insurance industry, Kris is an accomplished leader with strong financial acumen, a global perspective and a knack for utilizing our talent and resources effectively. Kris joined QBE in 2017 as Chief Financial Officer of QBE's North American Operations. Prior to QBE, Kris served in a customer-facing role as Executive Vice President, Field Operations at Liberty Mutual, Surety, after having served for nearly four years as Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, Liberty Mutual, Surety, and three years as Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer at Liberty Mutual Safeco Insurance. She previously held several positions of increasing responsibility in accounting, finance and operations at Safeco Corporation, Northstar Communications, and Aetna Life & Casualty.

Kris earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Connecticut School of Business. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and began her career as an Audit Supervisor at Grant Thornton.

She is a great role model and mentor. She juggles work and family responsibilities with three children including a nonverbal son with autism in high school, a daughter who is a School Psychologist with emphasis on special needs education, and another daughter who has a promising career as an actuary. Kris is passionate about living every moment to the fullest.  She believes that we have a choice to start every day either as Tigger or Eeyore. Every day she chooses Tigger!
