Heather Fox is General Counsel and Chief Broking Officer at ARC Excess and Surplus, LLC (“ARC”). With over 20 years of experience designing financial lines insurance coverage, Heather leads ARC’s claims advocacy practice and lends her expertise to clients with respect to crafting complex policy language. In addition to her involvement in leading ARC’s strategic direction, Heather also acts as a national resource to all of ARC’s Brokers providing guidance and support, including relationship management.
Prior to joining ARC, Heather was Chief Underwriting Officer and a Senior Vice President at AIG Executive Liability, a division of AIG Commercial Insurance. During her tenure at AIG, Heather was the principal drafter of many of AIG Executive Liability's management liability insurance policies. Heather also held a variety of underwriting and legal positions, including serving as General Counsel managing AIG Executive Liability's legal staff and compliance group. Prior to her employment at AIG, Heather practiced law in Massachusetts, primarily focused on civil litigation, including employment-related litigation.
Heather frequently speaks at seminars on a wide range of management liability and insurance topics, including on D&O and Cyber/Privacy liability insurance. She is a Past-President and Trustee of the Professional Liability Underwriting Society (PLUS), a nonprofit association for the promotion and development of the professional liability insurance industry. Heather is a founding board member and officer of The Bridge, a nonprofit supporting the career advancement of women in the financial lines insurance industry.
Heather received a Juris Doctor from New England School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from St. John's University with Cum Laude honors.
