As the son of an insurance visionary, Blake knew at an early age he was predestined for a career in the insurance industry. Blake’s father, Kendall McEachern, began a career in the insurance industry as a risk manager for multi-family properties. In April of 2010, Kendall co-founded and launched Acentria Insurance, headquartered in Destin, FL, with just 25 team members and $5MM in revenue. His leadership and guidance were responsible for Acentria Insurance being named as an Employer of Choice, Top Insurance Workplace and Best Agency to Work For. As a Foundation Risk Partners Company, Acentria has become a premier agency within the Southeastern United States with over 700 team members, 50 locations and over $90MM in revenue.

While attending the University of Central Florida, Blake decided to intern at an insurance agency in Lakeland, FL. One would think that growing a book of business would come easily to Blake with his father lending a helping hand along the way. However, Kendall wanted to ensure that Blake was set up for future success by insisting he grow his book organically so he would have the knowledge, expertise and gain the respect both within the industry…and by his clients. Blake joined the Acentria family in 2011. Starting out as a generalist, he quickly found his niche in the commercial real estate arena, specializing in multi-family. He has since grown his book from zero to over a million dollars and boasts a client retention rate of over 97%. “The best industry advice my father gave to me was to always do right by your clients. It will always come back around,” stated Blake.

Blake has been named a two-time Young Gun producer. While his father has been recognized as a two-time Agent of the Year and five-time National Top Producer, this makes the first year Blake is being recognized as a National Top Producer, and the last year his father will have the privilege in sharing those same honors with him. Kendall passed away in January of 2021, but not before bestowing a lifetime of knowledge, wisdom and work ethic to his beloved son, Blake. Kendall leaves a lasting legacy on Acentria’s culture, success, industry-wide reputation – and on all of us fortunate to have worked alongside him. Congratulations to both Blake and Kendall for the prestigious honors of being named National Top Producers. They share in these honors with other co-founder and CEO, Kevin Mason and Vice Presidents Shawn Budney and Vik Patel.
