Dan Fortin

Dan Fortin is the President of Financial Lines at QBE North America. He is responsible for leading the team dedicated to meeting the unique needs of customers for management, professional and transactional liability protection. He oversees the ongoing development and execution of the company’s strategic Financial Lines direction with a distinct focus on generating a high-quality book of business and enhancing the customer experience.

Dan has more than 30 years of insurance industry experience in helping customers guard against Financial Lines risks. Prior to joining QBE in 2020, Dan worked for seven years at Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance as Senior Vice President, Executive and Professional Liability. Before Berkshire Hathaway, Dan spent nearly a decade leading management and professional liability globally at CNA Specialty and served as interim CEO of CNA Europe in 2009. Previously, Dan was Managing Director, Aon Financial Services Group. Before that, he held various underwriting management positions with increasing responsibilities at CNA Insurance Companies.

Dan holds a bachelor's degree from Villanova University and a master's degree from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management.
