Aon plc, a global professional services firm, has announced the appointment of Soeren Soltysiak as the new Asia CEO for its reinsurance solutions division, effective April 1. According to a news release, Soltysiak, in his new role, will lead the company’s reinsurance strategy across the Asia-Pacific region, overseeing areas including treaty, facultative, analytics, and operations.
Soltysiak will be based in Singapore and will report to George Attard, CEO of reinsurance solutions for the Asia-Pacific region.
Prior to this promotion, Soltysiak served as strategic growth leader for Aon’s reinsurance solutions in Asia Pacific. The company noted Soltysiak played a key role in shaping the firm’s growth strategies in the region.
Alongside Soltysiak’s appointment, Aon has also named Musa Adlan as managing director for Asia, expanding his current responsibilities to include the development of the company’s Asia growth and product segmentation strategies. Adlan will continue his role as head of Southeast Asia reinsurance solutions. He will report directly to Soltysiak.
In addition to these appointments, Aon also announced a series of leadership appointments within its reinsurance solutions division. Pierre Vende and Danny Alexander have been appointed co-heads of life and health reinsurance solutions. Soojin Kim and Cindy Gu will serve as co-heads of retrocession APAC, and Tom Drake has been named chairman of reinsurance solutions specialty for the Asia-Pacific region.
“The appointment of such experienced leaders to these new Asia roles underscores our commitment to investing in developing talent, capability, and expertise, as well as responding to new areas of demand across the life and health and retrocession sectors,” Attard said.
