Acrisure Re, the re/insurance division of global fintech firm Acrisure, announced several appointments within its Corporate Advisory & Solutions (ARCAS) division.
Lauren Johnson (pictured, top left) has rejoined the ARCAS London team as head of funds at Lloyd’s (FAL), where she will lead the division’s growing Lloyd’s FAL capability. Johnson returns to the company following an 18-month period at Wakam.
She originally joined ARCAS in 2021 as a vice president after spending six years at Securis Investment Partners, where she served as head of Lloyd’s and specialty analytics.
Assad Negyal (pictured, top right) has joined as head of pricing, bringing extensive experience as a pricing actuary. Based in London, Negyal started with ARCAS in January, following his previous role at Starr Insurance as a senior pricing actuary.
David Ryan (pictured, bottom left) joined ARCAS in late 2024 as head of exposure management, based in London. Ryan has more than 15 years of experience in exposure management, having held similar roles at Talbot, Lloyd’s, and Willis Re.
Lucas He (pictured, bottom right) joined the London office in February as vice president, retrospective solutions. In his role, He will support the retrospective solutions offering. His background includes several years of legacy and M&A experience, most recently as vice president in R&Q’s M&A division.
He also worked as a legacy M&A and actuarial specialist at Catalina and held corporate development and M&A roles at Antares Reinsurance and JLT.
Acrisure Re’s ARCAS division offers services around four primary pillars, namely: advisory, capital, legacy, and mergers and acquisitions (M&A). The division’s last major expansion saw the appointment of Alex Orloff as managing director of ARCAS North America
All ARCAS new hires will report to Ben Canagaretna, the unit’s global managing director. Canagaretna noted that ARCAS continues to see significant opportunities in the Lloyd’s Funds at Lloyd’s (FAL) market and has grown to become one of the largest managers of third-party funds at Lloyd’s.
