Chris Pirie has been in the insurance industry for 42 years and a broker for 37. He has handled the insurance requirements for a wide variety of clients ranging from small enterprises to large companies and property owners through some of the most challenging times for NZ businesses following the 1987 share market crash, the GFC and the Christchurch earthquakes along with recent North Island floods.
He has been with PIC Insurance Brokers since 2012 and is the General Manager – Commercial, responsible for a team of 40 commercial brokers and support staff as well as handling key underwriter and client relationships.
PIC is the largest 100% New Zealand-owned and independent insurance brokerage, employing over 100 people looking after all types of insurance including Life, Health and Domestic in addition to the commercial team that Chris runs.
